Elmore County

Established in 1996, the Elmore County Community Foundation has distributed millions in grants to nonprofit organizations in Elmore County. Each year ECCF awards thousands in college scholarships through its multiple scholarship funds.

ECCF is an affiliate of the Central Alabama Community Foundation. Representatives from Elmore County serve on the CACF Board of Directors. Our staff is here to answer any questions and make the most of your giving needs.

Every year, ECCF awards grants to nonprofit projects and programs providing services in Elmore County.

Community Trust Grants – ECCF

Applications eligible JAN 2 — FEB 6, 2026

Family Wellness and Education
Family, Food, Medical (Awarded in May)
Education (Awarded in June)

This grant shall be used to support a nonprofit organization improving the quality of life through Family Wellness (Family, Food and Medical) and Education in Elmore County.

Nonprofit organizations may submit one ECCF Community Trust Grant application for a maximum award of $3,000.

Community Trust Grants are available for services and programs provided by any nonprofit in Elmore County.

Required Documents for Submission:

  • Operating Budget – Current Year
  • Operating Budget – Prior Year
  • Audited Financial Statement (only required if your agency has this document)
  • Core Operating Standards for Nonprofits
  • IRS Letter of Determination
  • Listing of Board of Directors
  • Letter endorsing project from Organization President

Nonprofit organizations may submit one ECCF Community Trust Grant application for a maximum award of $3,000.

Applications may be submitted online only. No paper applications will be accepted.

Grants/Funding are not awarded to:
  • Individuals
  • Annual fundraising drives, events or marketing campaigns
  • Endowments
  • Partisan political advocacy
  • Regular operating support or capital projects
  • Religious purposes (although we do support educational and social service programs offered by faith-based organizations)
  • Research
  • Sponsorship of fundraising events
  • Start-up costs

This grant shall be used to support a nonprofit organization improving the quality of life through Social Services, Shelter, Community Building, and/or the Arts in Elmore County.

Nonprofit organizations may submit one ECCF Community Trust Grant application for a maximum award of $3,000.

Community Trust Grants are available for services and programs provided by any nonprofit in Elmore County.

Clara Lull Robison Beautification Fund (Awarded in November)
Margaret & Auston Bridges Fund for Historical Preservation (Awarded in November)
Clara Lull Robison Beautification Fund

This grant shall be used to support a nonprofit organization or projects that are permanent in nature, working to improve, enhance and beautify the City of Wetumpka, Alabama, in Elmore County. Nonprofit organizations may submit one Clara Lull Robison Beautification Fund application for a maximum award of $3,700. Recipient nonprofit organizations will be expected to provide matching funds, which may include in-kind services, as determined by the advisory committee.

Margaret & Auston Bridges Fund for Historical Preservation

This grant shall be used to support a nonprofit organization aiding or assisting in historic preservation activities in Elmore County, Alabama. Nonprofit organizations may submit one Margaret & Auston Bridges Fund for Historical Preservation application for a maximum award of $1,900.

Applications may be submitted online only. No paper applications will be accepted.

Holtville High School Centennial Scholarship

(Open to graduating seniors from Holtville High School)
This scholarship is available to Holtville High School seniors who will attend an accredited college or university. Award is based on academic achievement, involvement in school, and community activities.
Application Requirements: High School Transcript, Letters of Recommendation and Essay

Ralph Brown Family Scholarship

The purpose of the Ralph Brown Scholarship is to provide monetary aid and assistance to outstanding and deserving graduates of Holtville High School.

(Open to graduates of Holtville High School.)

The purpose of the Ralph Brown Scholarship is to provide monetary aid and assistance to outstanding and deserving graduates of Holtville High School. Students must plan to study at Auburn University or Southern Union Community College (preferred course of study is Education), provide 2 Letters of recommendation and submit an essay on “What are your college and career goals?”. Scholarships may be renewed annually for up to 3 years but renewal is not guaranteed.

Central AlabamaWorks Scholarship

The Central AlabamaWorks Scholarship was established to assist outstanding and deserving graduates with their post-secondary educational needs. Open to graduating seniors from any high school in Autauga, Bullock, Chambers, Coosa,

(Open to graduating seniors from any high school in Autauga, Bullock, Chambers, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Perry, Russell, or Tallapoosa Counties.)

The Central AlabamaWorks Scholarship was established to assist outstanding and deserving graduates with their post-secondary educational needs. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED, reside within one of the 13 counties served by Central AlabamaWorks, be accepted into an Alabama community college, trade/vocational school, or short-term training program for career technical education, possess a valid Alabama ID and provide 2 letters of recommendation.
