Give Smart Montgomery

Give Smart Montgomery
Give Smart Montgomery provides a simple, safe, and effective way for the community to address growing concern about panhandling in Montgomery.
Community Trust Grants
This grant shall be used to support a nonprofit organization improving the quality of life through Family Wellness (Family, Food and Medical) and Education in Lowndes, Macon and/or Montgomery counties.
Nonprofit organizations may submit one CACF Community Trust Grant application for a minimum award of $5,000 and maximum award of $25,000.
Applications may be submitted online only. No paper applications will be accepted.
- Individuals
- Annual fundraising drives, events or marketing campaigns
- Endowments
- Partisan political advocacy
- Regular operating support or capital projects
- Religious purposes (although we do support educational and social service programs offered by faith-based organizations)
- Research
- Sponsorship of fundraising events
- Start-up costs
Field of Interest Grants
Merle S. & Mack C. Hunt Diabetes Fund
This grant is to be used to combat the disease or condition of diabetes, including, but not limited to, research and development for that purpose.
Group Homes for Children
This grant shall be used to benefit children eighteen (18) years of age or younger located in Autauga, Elmore, Lowndes, Macon and Montgomery counties.
Mental Health Grant
This grant shall be used to support a nonprofit organization which helps those affected by a mental health condition in Montgomery County. This may also include educating caregivers and/or the public about the condition and its effects. Nonprofit organizations may submit one Mental Health Fund application for a maximum award of $1,300.

Technical Assistance Grants
This grant shall be used to support a nonprofit organization seeking to strengthen internal operations and improve the effectiveness of its organization in Lowndes, Macon and/or Montgomery counties. Organizations may request funding for assistance with Strategic Planning, Organizational/Board Infrastructure, Fund Development and/or Marketing/Public Relations.
Nonprofit organizations may submit one CACF Technical Assistance Grant application for a maximum award of $2,500.
Applications may be submitted online only. No paper applications will be accepted.

Give Smart Montgomery
Opens August 1, 2022
The Give Smart Montgomery Fund supports nonprofits providing programs or projects that address the categories of homelessness, mental health and/or substance abuse in regards to panhandlers in Montgomery County, Alabama.
Nonprofit organizations may submit a Give Smart Montgomery grant application for a maximum amount of $5,000. CACF will accept applications on a rolling basis beginning on August 1.
Applications may be submitted online only. No paper applications will be accepted.
