On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, the Central Alabama Community Foundation had their first #CommunityChampions Nonprofit Site Visit at Sidney Lanier High School Poets Pantry. A special thanks goes to Cubie Rae Hayes and Katina James for helping organize the event. Everyone in attendance learned all about how the PTSA supports their students and families.
The goal was to learn about the Poets Pantry but everyone left with so much more. From how the PTSA is involving their “Super Grands” to their dedication in ensuring that every student has the tools and resources needed to succeed – amazing things are happening within the castle!
The Community Champions annual giving program hopes to more deeply connect donors to nonprofits in the community. Because of the investment Community Champions are making in the River Region, the Central Alabama Community Foundation will be able to increase their grant making capacity in 2019.
