The Community Foundation of East Alabama has recently awarded a $500 grant to worthy squared
(worthy2), a non-profit organization, currently under the auspices of the Envision Opelika Foundation,
that advocates for those who have been exploited through commercial sexual exploitation or sex trafficking. This grant will help strengthen worthy2’s funding for victim services, allowing them to better support victims when they are recovered through their outreach efforts.
worthy2 provides direct support to victims of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. These
victims often have no possessions other than the clothes on their backs when initially encountered by
the worthy2 team. The organization provides emergency safe shelter, clothing, transportation and other
basic needs to support victim/survivors while navigating detox, rehabilitation, trauma-informed treatment, and other post-exploitation services.
The $500 grant will make a significant impact on worthy2’s ability to provide immediate support to
victims. With this funding, worthy2 will be able to provide even more comprehensive services to victims
of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking.

The Community Foundation of East Alabama works to promote philanthropy by connecting people who
care with causes that matter, to serve the charitable purposes of our donors and meet the charitable
needs of our community. Their reach includes Lee, Russell, Tallapoosa, Macon and Chambers counties.
The community foundation provides grants and support to a wide range of organizations and initiatives
