CACF Community Champions Launches to Meet Additional Community Needs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2018

MONTGOMERY— The Central Alabama Community Foundation (CACF) on Thursday announced it is launching a new giving effort aimed at meeting additional community needs in the River Region.

CACF Community Champions will help the Central Alabama Community Foundation provide additional Community Trust Grants to nonprofit organizations that are meeting diverse community needs. CACF Community Trust Grants support programs and projects in family wellness, education, medical, food, shelter, the arts, community building and social services.

“The Central Alabama Community Foundation has been a trusted partner in giving for more than thirty years, and during that time we have invested over $55 million into nonprofits across our community,” CACF President Burton Crenshaw said. “Through CACF Community Champions we are inviting new donors to learn more about the foundation and help us invest even more into local nonprofits who are meeting our community’s most critical needs.”

Individuals, families or businesses may become a Community Champion by contributing at one of the following giving levels:

Community Investor: Annual gift of $250 – $999

Community Renewer: Annual gift of $1,000 – $2,499

Community Transformer: Annual gift of $2,500+

Each Community Champion will enjoy membership benefits that have been designed to connect donors directly to nonprofit organizations in our community. Benefits include the opportunity to provide input on how funds should be used in our community, exposure to nonprofit organizations through special Community Champion site visits, and exclusive invitations to special donor events and receptions with community leaders.
