CACF Celebrates Over $703,000 Awarded in 2025, Honoring Nonprofits Strengthening Central Alabama; Arts & Community Building Grants Highlighted at Year-End Reception

The Central Alabama Community Foundation (CACF), together with its affiliate foundations, the Elmore County Community Foundation (ECCF), and the Autauga Area Community Foundation (AACF) hosted its annual Year-End Reception on Thursday evening, November 13th at ServisFirst Bank in downtown Montgomery.

CACF and its affiliates awarded a total of $703,133.45 in 2025 to nonprofit organizations across the River Region and beyond, funding initiatives that create lasting change and improve quality of life for residents.

During the reception, CACF announced the recipients of its 2025 Arts & Community Building Grants, honoring organizations that demonstrate excellence in creativity, collaboration, and community engagement. Guests also heard highlights of the measurable impact made possible through grants by CACF and its affiliate foundations throughout the year.

Central Alabama Community Foundation ($82,020.00)
 

Arts Grants ($48,520.00)

$14,450.00 to Alabama Shakespeare Festival to provide script adaptations, workshops, stage management, director supplies, and production elements for The Fall Festival of Shakespeare.

$6,070.00 to Children’s Center of Montgomery, Inc. to provide for projects planned around the 7 types of art for the Montgomery area young adults with disabilities and medical fragility that are served.

$8,000.00 to Cloverdale Playhouse to provide tuition for 125 K-12 aged students and teacher support for the Playhouse Workshop Series.

$15,000.00 to Montgomery Christian School to provide instruments, music stands, carts, accessories and classroom supplies for students.

$5,000.00 to That’s My Child to provide art supplies for Art by TMC for students in its underserved community.
 

Community Building Grants ($31,000.00)

$5,000.00 to Five Horizons Health Services to provide contract instructor fees, curriculum materials and supplies, technology and equipment for the 14-week job readiness and GED program for individuals living with HIV.

$9,000.00 to Landmarks Foundation to purchase and install Bluetooth Beacons and supportive equipment and provide for content development and interpretive signage expenses.

$17,000.00 to New Beginnings Educational Center to support the Mentoring and Tutoring Program for children in grades K-12 that meet four afternoons a week during the school year to work with mentors.
 

Technical Assistance Grants ($2,500.00)

$2,500.00 to Next Step Up to engage professional support in updating the organization’s logic model and strengthening fund development efforts to help the long-term sustainability and growth of its no-cost mentoring and tutoring programs in Macon County.
 


Autauga Area Community Foundation ($5,900.00)
 

Arts Grants ($3,000.00)

$3,000.00 to Alabama Shakespeare Festival to subsidize School Fest tickets for 300 Autauga County students at $10 each.
 

Community Building Grants ($2,900.00)

$2,900.00 to Friends of the Autauga-Prattville Public Libraries, Inc. to provide a FunBoard Interactive Learning Table to enhance early childhood development and educational outcomes for ages 3-14.
 

Elmore County Community Foundation ($6,000.00)
 

Arts Grants ($6,000.00)

$3,000.00 to Alabama Shakespeare Festival to subsidize School Fest tickets for 300 Elmore County students at $10 each.

$3,000.00 to The Kelly Fitzpatrick Memorial Gallery to provide for instructor expenses for low-cost art and enrichment activities for adults, retirees and those with special needs.
 

Field of Interest ($14,165.00)

CACF Bucks Weil Cultural Arts Fund Grant ($12,200.00)

$5,900.00 to Alabama Dance Theatre to eliminate the cost of tickets and buses for 14 MPS schools’ and 930 3rd grade students to attend productions at the Davis Theatre.

$6,300.00 to Montgomery Symphony Association to offset costs for additional need-based scholarships for individual students.


ECCF Margaret and Auston Bridges Fund for Historic Preservation Grant ($1,965.00)

$1,965.00 to Kelly Fitzpatrick Memorial Gallery to improve the lighting system to ensure the longevity of the permanent collections of artwork.
