Give Smart Montgomery

The Central Alabama Community Foundation has partnered with community leaders to educate and find long-term solutions for the root causes of panhandling in Montgomery. This initiative will award grant monies to local nonprofits with proven track records that deliver meaningful assistance to individuals struggling with chronic homelessness, mental health challenges, and/or substance abuse. It is not the intent of this initiative to discourage a heartfelt response to need, but rather to help ensure that your generosity can effectively address the underlying causes of panhandling.
